In case you haven’t used their service, it is a really slick way to create a professionally printed book in single or small run copies. Anything from portfolios, diaries, travel diaries, you name it and blurb can print it.

If you have some technical printing experience using Adobe InDesign you are in luck. They have a downloadable plug-in which will walk you through setting up your book template and exporting and pre-flighting your document to ensure the quality will be top notch.

I can’t say their service is a bargain, but again you are getting a top quality product and the ship time was merely 5 days after I had placed the order. All in all, a good experience.

Greetings Wordcampers, you may be wondering why this is one of only a two posts on this site. Well, I can answer that for a few reasons. One, I recently took down my old theme which I had sported for two years. Like some things in life such as cellphones, cars, and lawnmowers; these items are new and shiny at first, then loose their luster when something better comes along. Nothing is more truer than in the world of WordPress themes. In case any of you have noticed, and I’m sure you have, responsive themes are no longer a want, but a necessity in a media market dominated by multi-media devices in all shapes in sizes. I simply was no longer satisfied with a mobile theme and a desktop theme working in unision. I wanted an all in one responsive design and I think I’ve got it. It needs to touching up but maybe for another time.

The good news is, this site will act as my soundboard for two things coming up in the near future. CitycampKC which will be held on April 28th, 2012 and of course Wordcamp KC June 1st-3rd. I’m really excited about being a part of and contributing to both of these events. More details can be found at citycampkc.org and http://2012.kansascity.wordcamp.org/

As the title suggests, my Wordcamp session will be to dissect and study the complex framework involved with designing and managing a project outline using WordPress. Problems can and will arise, unexpected questions will be asked by your clients, and it will be full of tips and tricks to avoid pitfalls that can delay the live date and overall client satisfaction involved with your WordPress site. I am currently refining the outline for major talking points but am always wanting to hear from you. If you have any ideas or questions that you feel would be helpful I would love to hear them and if used, you will be credited.
